Red-Handed
Artist: Robyn Mallery
How this artwork fits with the Art of Repair:
Robyn Mallery says:
This piece is one of two in my paused series, “Eternal Ephemera”, which challenges the viewer to think about the impacts of mass consumption while also questioning mortality. In what ways do we try to immortalize ephemera? Why do we do it? What impacts do these actions have on the world around us?
Nuanced conversations, for sure.
This work is about loss of icebergs, how human's are being caught red-handed as we destroy our own ecosystems. Ecosystems we rely on. How are we supposed to repair this?
