Set against the familiar black-and-white houndstooth — a pattern long tied to privilege and power — a flag emerges, raw and frayed, capturing the tensions of our time. The ornate golden word “Cheers” gleams with irony, a polished echo of excess and distance. Beneath it, the questioning refrain “Great? Again?” unsettles the surface, turning certainty into doubt. This piece confronts the fractures between classes.
By revealing the elegance of division, it invites reflection on what repair might mean — beyond irony, beyond slogans. In dialogue with The Art of Repair, it calls for renewed conversation between privilege and the people: a space where listening replaces distance, and where those with power might rediscover their role in healing and rebuilding the collective fabric of society.
Lesser Prairie Chicken — Dawn
Art in recognition of wild habitat maintained by private cattle ranchers, protecting a population of an extremely diminished American bird so it can forage, breed and shelter through the four seasons on prairie similar enough to the undisturbed grasslands that supported its ancestors against a background of many wild animal extinctions.
