One of my most recent & my biggest paintings – Inspired by a sunset a few months ago that was extremely captivating —sky on fire, air thick with haze. The prettier the colors, the more poison we’d fed the planet. That paradox sparked this piece.
At a glance: paradise. Look closer: waves are barcode ridges, clouds pixel static, nature filtered
A reminder: enjoy, respect, but question the glow. Life is an illusion—one continuous test of choices that determine path.

I was really touched by the fires in Lahaina and needed to transform it in my own mind. This fire created a great deal of division between the people and authorities and there is still controversy over its origin. This crisis actually strengthened the community.
I see Lahaina rising like the Phoenix to become even more beautiful.

‘Reparations For The Soul’ is a mixed media creation from my series titled “America Goddamn”, which depicts personal observations. feelings and political thoughts on the polarization of society amongst the races, creeds and the have/have nots of our dystopianesque society.

I painted this painting of a veiled woman some time before the Pandemic. I love to explore the beauty in people and cultures, but this painting received a lot of mixed reactions. When children saw this painting, they said it was their favorite out of a wall of my other pieces. The children saw the beauty in the woman and had no bias. People here in America had biases such as The oppression of women & Muslim Culture. During the pandemic and to this day, a majority of the world was masked up and had their faces covered. Was that oppression? Many people still choose to cover their faces today for their own protection of their health. We should all be able to talk about our cultures and beliefs and learn about one another, respect and admire one another, out of human love just like the children did, before placing hateful biases on individual people.
